Upcoming COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics at KMHC

Starting the week of February 21, KMHC will be giving COVID-19 vaccines at the hospital BY APPOINTMENT ONLY due to limited space and safety measures presently in place.

We will be taking names and planning clinics based on need, type of vaccine and dates recommended for the next dose. Do not hesitate to call weeks in advance.

You can call the hospital at 450-638-3930 ext. 2243 to speak to someone or leave a message.

Please leave the following information to help us better serve you:

  • Name on your Medicare card or legal name if you do not have a Medicare card
  • Your phone number
  • Date of your last vaccine or when you had COVID
  • Whether it is your 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or booster for immunocompromised patients

Appointments will be available for the following:

  • 5-11 years old – 1st and 2nd doses
  • 12-17 years old – 1st and 2nd doses
  • 18 years and older- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd doses.
  • Immunocompromised 5-17 years old- 3rd doses 4 weeks after 2nd dose.
  • Immunocompromised 18 years and older- 4th dose 3 months after their 3rd dose.
  • Those who had Covid-19- 8 weeks afterwards

Reminder COVID-19 Rapid Testing Kits still available

(Kahnawake – 3, Enníska/February 2022) The Kahnawà:ke COVID-19 Task Force would like to remind the community that Rapid Testing Kits are still available for Kahnawa’kehró:non.

The kits are available for pick-up, until 5pm today (Thursday). They will be distributed “Drive-thru” style at the Knights of Columbus Hall parking lot.

The last day to pick up your kits will be Friday, from 9am to 5pm (while supplies last).

Please note the following:

·         Each household will be entitled to one box per-individual

·         Each box contains 5 Rapid Tests.

More COVID-19 Rapid Testing Kits now available

(Kahnawake – 31, Tsothohrhkó:wa/January 2022)The Kahnawà:ke COVID-19 Task Force (Task Force) wishes to advise the community that more Rapid Testing kits are available for Kahnawa’kehró:non only.

The kits will be available for pick-up, starting today, Monday, January 31, from 1pm until 5pm. They will be distributed “Drive-by” style in the parking lot of the Knights of Columbus Hall.

You will also be able to pick up your kits from 9am to 5pm from Tuesday to Friday this week (while supplies last).

Please note the following:

  • Each household will be entitled to one box per-individual
  • Each box contains 5 Rapid Tests

The Kahnawà:ke COVID-19 Task Force wishes to advise Kahnawa’kehró:non of the confirmed dates for COVID-19 vaccinations. Please book your appointment by clicking here, or walk-in (residents only) at the Mass Vaccination Center, located at Mohawk Bingo on R-138.

In addition to earlier information on the upcoming clinics, please note that these clinics are now open for the following groups:

  • Children 5 to 11 years old, for 1st and 2nd doses 
  • 12 to 17-year-olds, for 1st and 2nd doses
  • 18+ for 1st and 2nd doses and boosters

Confirmed dates and times for upcoming Vaccination Clinics:

  • Friday, January 21 – 9am to 4:30pm
  • Saturday, January 22 – 9am to 4:30pm
  • Monday, January 24 – 12pm to 7:30pm
  • Tuesday, January 25 – 12pm to 7:30pm
  • Wednesday, January 26 – 9am to 4:30pm
  • Thursday, January 27 – 12pm to 7:30pm
  • Friday, January 28 – 9am to 4:30pm

(Kahnawake – 14, Tsothohrhkó:wa/January 2022) The Kahnawà:ke COVID-19 Task Force wishes to inform Kahnawa’kehró:non that spots are still available for your COVID-19 vaccination. You can book your appointment by clicking here or walk-in (residents only) at the Mass Vaccination Center, located at the Bingo Hall on R-138.

Getting your COVID-19 vaccine is highly recommended, and coupled with current public health measures, is your best defense against the virus.

While the number of cases of the Omicron Variant is on the rise, getting the vaccine will help reduce hospitalizations and ease the strain on the already overburdened health care system. It may also reduce the severity of symptoms related to the COVID-19 variants.

Please do your part to protect yourself, your loved ones, and your community by getting your vaccine.

Please note that these clinics are now open for the following groups:

Additional Vaccination Clinics available walk-ins accepted

Kahnawake – 11, Tsothohrhkó:wa/January 2022 at 3:30pm) The Kateri Memorial Hospital Centre and Public Safety Commission wishes to advise the community that additional Vaccination Clinics will be held this week by appointment and walk-ins:

Booster shots 18 years and older & 1st and 2nd dose for 12 years and older

  • Wednesday, January 12 – 9am to 5pm
  • Thursday, January 13 – 9am to 5pm
  • Friday, January 14 – 9am to 5pm

Non-Resident workers currently employed on the territory are also eligible, with proof of employment. Walk-ins will also be accepted for Kahnawa’kehró:non only.

Vaccination clinics resume Tuesday

The Kateri Memorial Hospital Centre (KMHC) wishes to remind the community that second doses of the Moderna vaccine are continuing to be administered at the Vaccinations Center located at the Mohawk Bingo on Highway 138 beginning tomorrow (Tuesday, June 22).

Please note that the elderly and others who require physical assistance can be dropped off at the front door. Security personnel are available to assist.

For those who have not yet received a confirmation notice for their second dose or would like to schedule their first dose, appointments can be made by calling 450-638-3930, extension 2295, or 2213. Please make sure to leave a message with your name and phone number as there is not always someone available to take your call at that moment.

Info on appointments, cancellations as Vaccinations continue

The COVID-19 Task Force and the Kateri Memorial Hospital Centre (KMHC) wish to remind the community that second doses of the Moderna vaccine are continuing to be administered at the Vaccinations Center located at the Mohawk Bingo on Highway 138.

For those who have not yet received a confirmation notice for their second dose​ or would like to schedule their first dose, appointments can be made by calling 450-638-3930, extension 2295 or 2213. For those who need to cancel or postpone their appointments, please call the same number. Please make sure you leave a message with your name and phone number as there is not always someone available to take your call at that moment. 

Currently, over 75% of Kahnawà:ke adults have received their first dose. However, to be effective, it is strongly recommended that a second dose be received, which is required to be fully vaccinated. Though the situation continues to improve, we still need to remain vigilant and follow the health & safety measures in place to protect our community.

IMPORTANT – Walk-In Vaccination Clinic continues for locals aged 12-17

The Kateri Memorial Hospital Centre and the Kahnawà:ke COVID-19 Task Force are pleased to inform the community that the Mass Vaccination Center will be accepting walk-ins for those aged 12-17 on Monday, June 14, from 1pm until 6pm.

This walk-in clinic is for the second dose for those aged 16 and 17 who received their vaccine in April, and for those aged 12-17 who require their first vaccine.

IMPORTANT: Please note that many parents have stated they were not aware of the previous Vaccination Clinic for the younger age groups. Please pass on the information to those who have children.

It is important to note that, even with the large percentage of community as well as Quebec being vaccinated, and returning to yellow zones, we need to remain vigilant and continue to follow all health and safety measures in place to protect our community.
