Task Force issues updated Directives for Schools and Daycares

The Kahnawà:ke COVID-19 Task Force wishes to advise the community that it has issued updated Directives in regard to Schools and Daycares operating within the Territory.

While the schools and the daycares have certain measures that are specific to their operations, the Directives indicate that Schools and Daycares are permitted to operate at a capacity that allows for COVID-19 health & safety measures to be respected. The upcoming schools year activities will be coordinated with the Task Force’s direction based on the health & safety requirements of the community, rather than directives from the Quebec Ministry of Education or other outside entities.

The Directive for the Schools (35.1) replaces Directive #35, while the Directive for Daycares (24.4) replaces Directive #24.3.

The Task Force wishes to reiterate its mandate to work together to minimize the spread of the virus and protect our community.
